Our Mission

Guided by the Scriptures, Saint George Classical School exists to educate students in the classical tradition so that they may grow in knowledge, wisdom, and virtue, seeking to love the Lord and use their gifts in the service of Christ and His kingdom.

Our Purpose is…

  1. to present all knowledge as part of an integrated whole, a reflection of the Creator, with God as revealed in His Scriptures at the center.
  2. to deliver an education to the highest standards of academic excellence
  3. to impart a Christian worldview in every student, one in which there is no sacred/secular divide or separation between faith and reason.
  4. to order the affections of the student by meditation on the Good, the True, and the Beautiful and the establishment of habitual piety.
  5. to develop, by the work of the Holy Spirit, the Seven Christian virtues of fortitude, prudence, justice, temperance, faith, hope, and love and the fruits of the Spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-23.
  6. to encourage the worship of God through chapels, convocations, programs, daily prayer and singing.
  7. to build a strong community of faculty, students and parents with a distinctly Christian culture
  8. to elevate and enrich our families by serving as a guide into the larger world of the Classics and Great Conversation.
  9. to inspire Christians to once again assume their Biblical mandates to subdue the earth, raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, grow in grace, and make disciples of all nations.
  10. to maintain the Christian heritage of Western Civilization through the study of the liberal arts (grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, music, geometry, astronomy), as well as history, literature, philosophy, theology, and classical language, employing a traditional pedagogy.
